SHOW ME YOUR GIFT BOX COMPETITION!

My mom recently headed to a local boutique. When she came home, she raved more about thegift wrapping then she did the cute top she just picked up. This got us talking about the importance of packaging. Maybe we do judge a gift by its box... Our little chat lead us to some creative brainstorming. How do we want to package Miss Lilith Jewelry? After making a few stops at Joanne's fabric and Office Depot, this is what we came up with:
What do you think?

Now it's your turn to have fun...

Cute packaging, I agree though that first impressions of a package can make a huge difference to the customer, it just shows that little bit of love has gone into the whole process from creation to packaging a piece.

I love packaging! Very cute box. We are not going the box route right now. I make small bags out of wire-rimmed ribbon, and for bigger ones I make organza bags will ribbons to pull shut. That one involves sewing though. I don't think I can come up with one look that we'd always use, at least not now.

Thanks, Lou's addictions! There is definitely love that goes into thoughtful packaging.

And I know ChezChani loves packaging. She is the Queen of handmade boxes. I would love to see your wire-rimmed ribbon bags.

I think packaging is so important. I have rec'd items from etsy just thrown into a clear plastic bag and it's not as exciting! Here is a link to my packaging. I like to tie in my fleur de lis theme and color scheme of my business cards into the packaging.

Kimberly, thanks so much for sharing your fabulous box. How did you go about getting the image printed on the box? It's really different and eye-catching. Again, thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks for the comment on my box for jewelry. It just a rubber stamp image. Before I made jewelry, I made greeting cards and collages. I wanted to keep the fleur de theme to match my business cards. Thanks for the feedback!

I wrote SO much in my posting a minute ago i thought i should shorten it!! lol. Anyhow, I love your idea for this contest! Im also working on presentation right now, mainly branding. I like to keep it very simple...so i use and elegant black box with custom printcard inside to hang the necklace off. They go with my business cards and are finished with matching thank you notes..the tiny boxes are for earrings. Im trying to figure out how to get my logo stamped in the boxes, but I dont want to spend a fortune on it...any ideas?? my boxes photo can be seen at www.artwark.blogspot.com top left corner!

Dearest Artwark, Thanks for sharing your input and participating in the contest. I don't know much about custom stamps, but if I hear anything, will definitely let you know. Do you have a large pic to enter the contest? The one are your blog is hard to decipher, but I can tell it's oh-so classy! Thanks!!!
